Grandpa Jos reads stories to his grandchildren every week. And now he also reads at Laaktheater Thuis. This week: “Zwaan kleef aan” (The Golden Swan).

This Grimm fairy tale is about a man named Simpleton, the youngest of three sons. Because Simpleton turns out to be a good guy and aids a dwarf, the dwarf gifts him a swan with golden feathers (in some tales it is a goose and also known as the Golden Goose). Simpleton sets off with the swan and along the way many people try to steal his feathered friend.
