Grandpa Jos reads stories to his grandchildren every week. And now he also reads at Laaktheater Thuis. This week: “Tafeltje dek je, ezeltje strek je” (The Wishing-Table, the Gold-Ass, and the Cudgel in the Sack).

This is a fairy tale about three brothers who each receive a magical gift, but the gifts of two of the brothers are stolen by an innkeeper; luckily the third son manages to get the gifts back by using his cudgel.. The fairy tale is very old and was rewritten by the Brothers Grimm.
