"We have to flee" is a moving play that is for a large part based on the true story of a girl from The Hague during the years of the occupation, 1940-1945.
Woestijnjasmijntjes door De Toneelmakerij
Jacob en zijn dochter Nour zijn op zoek naar een veilige plek om voorgoed te blijven. Ze maken een verre en gevaarlijke reis. Onderweg vertelt Jacob de prachtigste, grappigste en fantasievolste verhalen en tovert zo hun barre tocht om tot een groots avontuur. Hij kleurt hun grauwe, lange dagen tot een sprookje waar Nour de prinses in is. Douaneagenten veranderen in waakhonden, een migratieambtenaar in een ijskoning en hun medereizigers in Woestijnjasmijntjes.

Once a punk... always a punk ? Stof is a young punk from Casablanca. During the eight years that we followed him, he tried to set his Mohawk against all odds. He pays a heavy price for his independence when he finds himself arrested and imprisoned for eleven months. Will he remain “Dima Punk”, forever a punk?

Over Laaktheater Thuis
Laaktheater Thuis is the digital platform of Laaktheater. Laaktheater is the theatre of district Laak. We want to bring art and culture closer to the people. Just around the corner, in our theatre you can see and experience art and get involved in many different ways. With Laaktheater Thuis we come to you in your living room. You can watch performances, documentaries and take part in art classes on your mobile phone, computer or iPad.
This is one of the ways we want to make art personal. As Laaktheater we want to make the programme with people who are eager to share their love for culture; their love of film, photography, (youth) theatre or music.
Our programme is created by people with ideas who just drop in and we also meet people with ideas in the neighbourhood. And all these people with all these ideas together result in a wonderful programme that we are incredibly proud of.
